In 1957, I joined the Owen family in their endeavor to provide a service in the funeral industry that families could trust and count on. Over the past 58 years it has been my honor and privilege to care for families in their time of need.
Before coming to the funeral home I served in the military for over 3 years. In 1960, I met my beautiful wife Janie and have been blessed in our marriage ever since. It is due to Janie’s loving support that I am able to serve families as she has patiently accepted interrupted holidays and vacations due to funeral home needs. I have a sincere gratitude to her for her allowing me to follow my heart in the care I provide to Owen families and friends.
Although my profession has deeply impacted my life, I believe it has been worth it as I have found that in giving we find the meaning to life. I think life is about loving and being loved. As I enter the later years of my profession I have come to realize that the most important thing other than God and family is to “Love whatever you do.” If you do, then you will live a happy, meaningful, and satisfying life as I have. Friends are forever.
